Runtime Procedural Texturing for Unity

The Runtime Procedural Texturing module adds advanced features to the MicroSplat framework, allowing for immediate texturing of terrain based on height, slope, and noise functions. This module enables a non-destructive workflow, where one texture is used to paint procedural texturing, and other brushes paint their respective textures. Key features include:

  • Up to 32 procedural layers
  • Curve-based filters for height and slope
  • Cavity and erosion mask generation
  • Region mask filtering
  • Real-time calculations for instant updates
  • Per-Texture properties for gradient tint, hue, and brightness mapping
  • Non-destructive workflow for combining procedural texturing with traditional splat mapping
  • Baking results back to traditional splat maps for further editing

This module is compatible with the MicroSplat framework and can be used with URP and HDRP when the appropriate MicroSplat URP or HDRP module is installed.

Requires the MicroSplat framework to be installed. Compatible with URP and HDRP when the appropriate MicroSplat URP or HDRP module is installed.
