The Volumetric Light Beam package is a powerful and easy-to-use solution for simulating density, depth, and volume for spotlights and flashlights in Unity. It generates truly volumetric procedural beams of light to render high-quality light shaft effects, improving the lighting of your scenes. The package supports various render pipelines, including the Built-in Render Pipeline, Universal Render Pipeline, and High Definition Render Pipeline. It also offers advanced features such as volumetric shadows, cookies, and dynamic occlusion, making it suitable for use in VR, AR, and other applications. The package is highly configurable, with a powerful API and detailed documentation available.
The package includes two different implementations of volumetric light beams: SD Beams (legacy beams) and HD Beams. SD Beams are optimized for mobile and standalone VR, while HD Beams offer more advanced features but are heavier on performance. The package also includes a runtime effects collection to animate light and beam effects, as well as a 3D noise feature to simulate animated volumetric fog/mist/smoke effects. It supports Unity versions from 2018.4 to 2023.X and includes sample scenes.
