Aura 2 is a leading volumetric lighting and fog solution for Unity, optimized and flexible. It simulates the fog and light rays in the atmosphere, and is used in high-end games such as Tomb Raider, God Of War, and Red Dead Redemption 2. Aura 2 supports all types of light, including full shadows, cookies, and control volumes. It also features color temperature support, ambience presets, and improved quality. Aura 2 is compatible with multiple cameras, light probes, and real-time preview in the editor. It also includes a toolbox with shortcuts, real-time quality switch, and fast import time.
Aura 2 requires full support for RenderTextures, Texture2DArrays, and ComputeShaders to work. It was developed and tested on Windows and DirectX11, but may also work on Vulkan, Linux, and MacOs + Metal. However, no support can be provided for these platforms. Transparent objects may need modified shaders to display volumetric lighting, and shaders are included in the package. Aura 2 is not compatible with Aura 1, and all references to Aura 1 should be deleted before importing Aura 2.
