The MicroSplat - Mesh Workflow module is an extension of the MicroSplat framework that offers several new features for working with meshes in Unity. Key features include:
- Support for arbitrary meshes, not just Unity Terrains and terrain meshes
- Ability to generate shaders that paint up to 32 textures on a mesh, backed by splat map control textures
- Object Shader module for creating regular shaders with features like Snow, Wetness, and Trax
- Vertex painting based workflow with up to 28 textures and sharing all features with texture backed workflow
- Shaders can be generated to work over existing materials or as standalone shaders
- GPU and vertex based painters for painting on meshes
- Ability to bake out results to standard textures
- Support for submeshes and UV's outside of the 0-1 range in texture backed mode
- Extra features available with some modules for use in mesh mode, like procedural texturing and displacement dampening maps
- Support for URP/HDRP when SRP adapter modules are installed
