This package allows you to add advanced perception capabilities to your Unity characters. The Perception component enables your characters to understand their environment using multiple sensors. The Sight sensor allows characters to see tracked objects in front of them, with primary and peripheral vision cones that adjust detection speed based on distance. The Light system can affect how much characters can see other objects. The Hearing sensor enables characters to react to noises, with customizable tags and intensity, and ambient noise masking. The Smell sensor allows characters to detect scents left by other objects and follow trails. All sensors contribute to a general Awareness meter, indicating how aware a character is of another game object. The Evidence system enables characters to react to changes in the world, such as a door left open by the player. Characters can also share information with each other, creating a team-like behavior.
The package includes source code, examples, and templates, as well as learning resources for getting started. It is compatible with Unity 6 and Game Creator 2, and is designed to work seamlessly with other Game Creator 2 modules.
