Enhanced SVG Importer for Unity

SVGTOGO is designed to help 2D CAD engineers and graphic designers bring their SVG files into Unity with ease. It retains physical size and metadata for alignment in AR/VR, making it ideal for interactive AR/VR, AI, data modeling, BI, charting, and reporting projects. The tool simplifies the import process, allowing users to enjoy the benefits of their own SVGs within Unity.

Benefits of SVGTOGO include:

  • Imports SVGs as game objects that reconstruct the original file
  • Provides a Runtime API and Editor Mode Menu options
  • Supports various representations, including Mesh, SVG, and more
  • Maintains layer and order
  • Works around the 65536 vertices limit
  • Rescales SVG to physical size using DPI
  • Includes a metadata component for each converted element
  • Allows for isolated group or layer conversion
  • Enables individual movement and scaling for exploded views or animations

SVGTOGO supports SVG output from various software, including Inkscape and Adobe.

SVGTOGO's menu is located in the Assets menu. The tool requires the Unity Vector Graphics package, which follows a subset of the SVG 1.1 specification. Please note that Unity version 2019.4 or later is required to use SVGTOGO. Some elements and attributes may not be valid in the Unity Vector Graphics and may be enhanced or ignored by SVGTOGO. Additionally, SVGs are 2D and may become very large in memory, disk space, and processing power, so it's essential to ensure Unity or your environment can handle larger SVGs.
