Filo is a physics add-on for Unity that simulates the effects of 3D complex cable-driven systems. It focuses on the impact of cables on surrounding objects, resulting in fast, stable, and accurate simulations. The setup is quick and easy, with four link types supported: attachment, rolling contact, hybrid, and pinhole slider. Filo can simulate large systems, support large mass ratios, and arbitrarily long cable segments. However, it does not support free cable simulation, collision detection/response, frictional contacts, cable self-collision, or cable twisting.
Filo is built with C# code and works on all platforms. It's designed to be fast, stable, and accurate, making it ideal for complex cable-driven systems. The simulator focuses on the effect of cables on surrounding objects, rather than simulating the cables themselves.
