OpenXR VR Motion Capture Animation Tool

This package allows you to record full-body motion capture in the Unity Editor using OpenXR with Vive Trackers. It animates characters inside your scene and saves the animations as Unity .anim files. The tool is designed for the Unity Editor only and supports Mecanim for basic IK. Optional support for FinalIK VRIK is also available for improved IK customization. It works with all OpenXR supported headsets, including HTC Vive, Oculus Quest 2, and Valve Index. The tool can also be used without Vive trackers, using only the headset and controllers for head and hands animation. It is simple to set up and reuse, and supports recording animations with any number of trackers. The package is compatible with SteamVR tracked headsets and can work with non-SteamVR headsets using common workarounds.

Works with OpenXR + SteamVR or other supported OpenXR devices that support Vive Trackers. Records and saves character animations as .anim files within the editor in your scenes/game levels. Supports Mecanim for Unity Engine powered character IK. Optional support for FinalIK VRIK for superior character IK.
